*Note: As many Pinnacle MiroVideo DV300 PCI card owners will
know, because of the idiosyncrasies of the card and its drivers/software, it is very
difficult to successfully install Premier 5.1 and also to take advantage of the special
facility for the Sony DCR-PC1E without the whole system freezing. The only way which
I eventually found to get everything working was to disable USB via the BIOS. This
was the case even before I installed the Creative SB Live! Platinum PCI card which takes
up 2 IRQs. I did not find the Pinnacle website helpful in solving this problem and saw
that they had ignored pleading questions to help. Reading Computer Video and using
their web site, although it did not give me the exact answer to my problem, got me
thinking enough to try this option - eventually!
